93 Warcraft Gold in 30 minutes

I wanted to share with you how I’ve made 93 gold with only 30 minutes work. Ok, to be fair, the elapsed time was about a week, but I only spent 30 minutes max actually doing something.

It’s using one of my favorite methods, that of limited availability recipes. The four that I used were:

Icy Cloak available from Ghok’kah (Horde) in Dustwallow Marsh and Micha Yance in Hillsbrad Foothills (Aliance)

Gnomish Cloaking Device from Zan Shivsproket in Hillsbrad Foothills

Mithril Dragonling from Ruppo Zipcoil in The Hinterlands.

Deadly Scope from Knaz Bunderflame in Stranglethorn Vale.

All of these can be purchased for a few silver from these vendors (check the Thottbot links for exact locations and prices) and resell for several gold in the AH. Average price on my server is 6 gold each. I can sell at least one of each per day, giving a maximum profit of more than 140 gold a week, so I guess I was lazy :)

Since these recipes are all limited availability it’s a real pain to go from vendor to vendor checking to see if they have the recipe, so here’s a much easier method. Start 4 alts (or login to those you never play anymore) and walk them up to these vendors. The vendors, unfortunately, are all in mid-level zone, so strip naked and be prepared to die a few times. I got to all of the vendors without dying more than 6 times for all four by sticking to the paths. If you see a higher level going your way, don’t be afraid to ask for an escort. If you are on a PvP server a naked female character doesn’t get ganked half as much as a male. Go figure. Simply log into these alts, already parked by the vendor, whenever you can and grab the recipes. Don’t forget to mail the alts some gold for initial purchases. The vendors are sometimes near mailboxes, so you can mail the recipes back to your main, or just wait until you have seven and stone back to the city.
