How to get gold for your Warcraft mount in one day

Tags: World of Warcraft
It’s frustrating when you get to level 40 and suddenly realize that you only have a couple of gold to your name. Getting a mount is going to cost you 100 gold. Making that in a day isn’t hard if you know where to go and what to look hunt.

The Big Iron Fishing Pole is treasured by anybody with advanced fishing skills since it gives +20 to fishing. Depending on the server it sells for between 10 and 25 gold. There’s only one place it can be found and that is in the shellfish traps off the coast of Shadowprey Village in Desolace. When you open the traps you will either find a Big Iron Fishing Pole, Shellfish or, unfortunately, spawn a level 34 mob. The drop rate seems to vary but you can generally find 3 or 4 in a couple of hours. If you are Horde, keep the shellfish and turn five of them in to Jinar’Zillen on the pier for 55 silver and a Bloodbelly Fish. The Bloodbelly is used in a Desolace quest so save these. Alliance should obviously keep away from the village. This is entirely underwater so take breathing potions if you need them.

Badlands Grinding. I hate grinding generally but if you must, head for the Elementals camp in the south of Badlands. The elementals drop quite a bit of Elemental Earth as well as Deeprock Salt. The Elemental Earth sells for around a gold a piece on most servers.

Go Fishing. Head to the Barrens and fish for Deviate Fish. If you are Alliance on a PvP server, head into Wailing Caverns into the instance to fish undisturbed. Each Deviate Fish will sell for around 20 silver but you catch a lot of them is a short time. If you have cooking skills consider turning them into Savory Deviate Delight for some extra profit.

Solo one of the lower level instances. Remember how much loot dropped in Gnomergan or RFK? Then you were rolling against four others for your share. Now it can all be yours...

Nice, I never thought about the Iron Fishing Pole.

The way that I did it as a Miner/Engineer was the Screeching Canyon in Thousand Needles. You just keep grinding those harpies and mining those iron mines. Here is how it works:

1.Keep alot of bagspace open, grind the Roguefeathers. Lots of green drops, plus the Vibrant Plumes, Wool and Silk. Trash the light feathers. The respawn is really fast and they are lower level creatures so you should be able to rip through them. There is also a chest that spawns throughout the cave.

2. Mine Iron in and around the cave. Use this to make Iron Grenades. You can vendor these for a pretty penny.

Anyway, I made about 120 gold doing this in a little less than 24 hours.

Thanks for the post!
